The rooms were made ready and fitted with a kitchen. Beneath the institute’s linoleum floors lay herringbone parquet, which was revealed, sanded and oiled. In a small, private setting, artists and independent creatives from architecture, film and journalism found room to connect and work productively. The site marked the provisional end point of the main axis of NEST’s vacancy activation in Vienna’s 9th district.
