A pop-up market with makers and DIYs in two editions: in December 2014 in the Marktgasse (Vienna 9), in June 2015 in the vacant bank branch at Alserbachstrasse 11.
Salonfähig I — a Christmas market with design workshops and a DJ line instead of Christmas sentimentality, from 5 December in Vienna’s 9th district, quite intimately in an interim-used ground-floor unit in the Marktgasse. Around 20 labels — textiles, jewellery, accessories and furniture — could be discovered and helped to make; the chill-out corner invited you to relax, in the evening with a DJ groove. Supporting programme: an exhibition by Heinz Seidenbusch, workshops (bookbinding, stamping, casting talismans), the puppet theatre “Die Kurbel”, and music by DJ Elektrobaguette, DJ Flow the Slow (Susiklub), Valesta and Zirkus Abnormal.
Salonfähig II — on Sunday 7 June 2015, from 14:00 to 20:00, in the vacant bank branch at Alserbachstrasse 11, corner of Liechtensteinstrasse in Vienna’s 9th district. Across more than 530 sqm, exhibitors from fashion, design, cosmetics, food and DIY presented their work. The market was complemented by the opening of a pop-up gallery and a screening of “In Another Country”, six short films by unlockedfilms.
