All sorts has been happening at Alserbachstrasse 11: the bustle of interim uses ranges from cultural events through pop-up shops to education programmes. With little effort and minimal equipment, varied interim uses become possible (the source’s data sheet states around 500 sqm; its running text says “more than 530 sqm”).

It began with Lokale Agenda 21 and its programme “Was es ist…”, in memory of the writer Erich Fried, who spent his childhood in this building. The live role-play “APE” played out a survival scenario in the vault. The pop-up markets by Vintec and salonfähig offered vintage electronics and other creative goods, the Austrian label meshit staged a fashion show, and there was a pop-up gallery of Austrian artists and a documentary screening by unlockedfilms. Further interim uses came from the e12 cultural association, HOLE in BLACK and Dachsbau in cooperation with das Werk.
